Information You Provide
- Account information: email address, display name, and profile details from your Atlassian account.
- Voice data: audio recordings when you use voice features. These are processed for transcription and then deleted.
- Chat messages: text messages and conversations with the AI assistant.
- Jira data: information you access or modify in your Jira projects through the service.
Information From Atlassian
- Account ID and email address.
- Display name and profile information.
- Permissions related to Jira project access.
Voice processing: audio recordings are handled by OpenAI speech-to-text services and are deleted automatically once transcription completes. We do not store voice recordings as a persistent dataset.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, improve, secure, and personalize the service.
- Service delivery: process requests, manage your account, and provide AI assistance.
- Jira integration: access and interact with your Jira projects on your behalf.
- AI processing: send relevant context to OpenAI APIs to generate responses.
- Communication: send service-related notices and updates.
- Security: detect fraud, abuse, and operational threats.
AI processing: your messages and relevant Jira context are sent to OpenAI to produce assistant responses. OpenAI processes that data under its own privacy and data processing terms.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share personal information only when needed to operate the service or comply with legal obligations.
Third-Party Services
- OpenAI: chat content and relevant context for AI response generation.
- Atlassian: authentication and Jira data access through official APIs.
- Cloud infrastructure providers: hosting and operational support under appropriate data protection terms.
No sale of personal data: we do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Atlassian Integration
The service connects to Atlassian products through official OAuth 2.0 authentication. We request only the permissions required for the product to function and we respect the permissions enforced in Jira.
OAuth security: we use the OAuth 2.0 standard for secure authentication. Your Atlassian credentials are not stored by TicketMage.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal obligations, and to maintain operational integrity. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
6. Data Security
We apply layered security controls designed to protect information in transit and at rest, including TLS 1.3 for transmission, encrypted storage, access control, and ongoing operational monitoring.
